Twice a year, we put on Pizzas and Italian Subs Fundraisers.  We send out flyers to organizations and individuals that support our cause and those we support.  Our flyer will also be placed on our FaceBook page for those individuals that are interested in purchasing pizzas and subs to support us.  The funds we raise are used to support the Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt, Katie Dunning Memorial Spring Dance, our supporting role in the Inclusive Swim, and any other event that may come up during the year.

Saturday of Easter Weekend

The club conducts a Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt for children who are hearing or visually impaired, or physically or developmentally disabled.  This year there were over 80 special children who attended. This is conducted at the Westerville Community Center in the Gymnasium so the participants can enjoy the hunt no matter what the weather is like.

April

The Westerville Civitans sponsor the annual Katie Dunning Memorial Spring Dance at the Westerville Community Center for special needs teens and adults, which is enjoyed by more than 160 special guests. We provide lemonade, coffee for adults and caregivers, cheese & crackers, relish tray, chips, and cookies while they dance and enjoy the evening to music provided by a DJ.

July

This event is sponsored by the Parks & Recreation Department, Adaptive & Inclusive Section. The Westerville Civitan Club supports them by providing hot dogs, chips, and snow-cones. Parks & Rec provides the venue and the cold drinks. We cook and serve the attendees. 

This is an evening of swimming in a sensory-friendly environment.

September

We accept donations of clean, gently used items from friends, family, neighbors, etc.. The funds we raise from the selling of those items are used to support the Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt, Katie Dunning Memorial Spring Dance, our supporting role in the Inclusive Swim, and any other event that may come up during the year.

December

As with the Inclusive Splash Party Event, this event is sponsored by the Parks & Recreation Department, Adaptive & Inclusive Section. The Westerville Civitan Club supports them by providing lemonade, hot chocolate, coffee for adults and caregivers, chips, cookies, and candy. 

This is an evening of dancing to music provided by a DJ.
